                    WHAT IS ZORBING?

Zorbing or Land-Sphering as we like to call it is an adventure type sport in which you roll down a designated hill whilst staped inside of a giant inflatable sphere.

How does it work?

The sphere itself is a double hulled,transparent inflatable globe made from 2mm thick T.P.U with safety harnesses mounted inside the first hull.
The outer sphere is 3m in diameter and the inner one is 2m in diameter,the two layers are connected using more than a thousand nylon cords.
There are two tunnel like entrances on either side.
The rider is strapped into the inner sphere and cushioned between a layer of air acting as a shock absorber and lessening the bumps while rolling.

The course is specially designed and safety is a priority.
You get launched down the sphere hill,gaining speed and going head over heals with each revolution.

At this point centrifugal force(an outward force away from the centre of rotation)much like swinging a bucket filled with water over your head and nothing spills,comes into play.
The occupant is pushed back against his seat and the wall of the ball as you revolve around and around.

What are they made from?

We at Land-Sphere pride ourselves in making our balls from the strongest,safest and highest quality materials available today.
All our balls are made from imported TPU(thermoplastic polyurethane) of 2mm thickness.(Far superior to P.V.C)
Our TPU has excellent resistance to abrasion and oil and is of the best of its kind in the world for load bearing capabilities.
Our TPU also gives reduced friction,increased fire resistance,fungus resistance and weathers well.
Our balls are all TPU welded for guaranteed strength.

History:

In the 1990's,two friends Dwayne Van Der Sluis and Andrew Akers came up with an idea for a type of sphere in Auckland,New Zealand(home of the bungy jump)and called their idea a "ZORB".
This company is still going today and they call their riders zorbonauts.

Although we at Land-Sphere have absolutely no affiliation with them and do not claim to use their exact product,we thank them for their creative concept which allowed us to have the LAND-SPHERE.
The Land-Sphere is very similar in concept but is thicker TPU and uses a different harness method.

What does it feel like?

It's not an adrenaline rush like skydiving or bungy but what it is,is very,very unique.You won't have an experience like it!
It's not super scary,it's not super fast,but it will make you laugh till your sides split! No steering,no braking,just you and gravity!
